Add some noise-absorbing materials to your home. Sound tends to reverberate off hard surfaces like walls and wooden floors, so it is good to add some soft materials that will absorb sound better. You could try carpeting the floors and adding a couch or other soft furniture items. If the noise problem is particularly bad, you could also install soundproof panels in a room.

Excessive noise often comes from our home appliances, so you could try replacing them with much quieter ones, or if the problem is caused where the appliances vibrate, you could use vibration insulators.

Many people find it helpful to drown out annoying sounds by replacing them with other, more relaxing sounds, like an indoor water feature or a white noise generator – these sounds are good for helping you to stop focusing on the irritating noise and reducing the amount of stress they create.
